Only one was gold!
Went a couple times each day this memorial day weekend.Went to a number of different beaches, either early in the morning to hunt the dry sand with the XT705 and after the sun came up switched to the DF and hit the water,or did some late night detecting the water under the full moon, low, low tide..Five rings came from the water...4 junk,1 silver....two from the beach sand...1 junk,1 10k gold, don't know about the stone.Bottom right corner are all silver...Cladda earring, small silver ring, not sure what the little 925 clam shell thing is,snaps shut.religious cross..on back says"I'm a catholic, call a priest",Got over 20 bucks in clad from the various beach bars and towel lines, plus a 10 dollar bill that was in a cigarette pack along with a lighter(not the usual 6TID) and a "Funny cigarette",always wave the coil over them or kick them.Lots of lead and lures, the bullet looking ones are lead weights also.
Went looking b4 work for 2 lost rings posted on CL this morning. That beach was totally trashed, could not swing the coil freely with the millions of beer cans, coolers, and beach paraphernalia every where.Had a good idea where to look but found only clad and 2 matched earrings. HH GL ALL

That's a really great effort there!:clapping: Very good coin count, paper, silver and gold...a well rounded hunter of the sand are ye!::buds: Funny, I always check those cig packs too! They do make a nice holder of things...so I figure its a matter of time when I stomp one and feel a ring between my toes..

Bob, I figure that if I can average at least 1 ring per hunt (preferably multiple rings like you just did)!!! irrespective of how crappy they are, the law of averages will give me good gold or/and silver rings sooner or later. Congrats on the great finds!!! btw, that's a heck of a lot of clad!!

That is a lot of recovered targets for a weekend; even a long one! Impressive clad count. Glad you got one gold! I'm sure more gold is coming your way soon.

Thanks!....I did start Friday night on the beach and ended it this morning,a total of 7 hunts of several different beach areas.Parking is a tricky thing on the beaches and I have my spots that are limited to first come, hate feeding meters!!!...Late at night is no problem.I follow the same path that produces the most finds on each beach/bar first.then try different areas randomly.I average $3-6 in clad each hunt(not in the water) and what ever else is under the coil....

You have done well to find so much stuff. Your technique is looking good! I'm sure that you will find lots of gold, you're definitely searching in the right areas on the beach. That gold ring is good. My average in water hunting is a gold ring every 10 hours, so you're due one next hunt for sure! Gl:)

WTG good digs
