Found ( 34 ) Old Coins & Relics Last Weekend

A friend of mine that hunts with a White's XLT told me that an older friend of his knew where a Church group use to meet in the woods during the early 1900's.
We hunted the site a few times last weekend and ended up with some great finds !
I found a total of ( 34 ) old coins, tokens, relics and jewelry in less than 10 hrs. of total hunting time.

In addition to what you see in the photo's my friend Ed and his XLT found a - 1898 Barber Quarter - a 1916 or 1917 SLQ and four Wheat Cents.
Also not shown in the photo's are the several nice old Milk and Medicine bottles that we found.

I ended up getting a Nickel Tri-fecta on Saturday morning in the first two hours we were there - a V-Nickel - two Buffalo's and one of the Silver War Nickel's.

The 1920's "Standard Varnish Works" watch fob is really cool - internet research tells me that the baseball player on the back is - Ty Cobb.
The small Pendant is made of Silver.
The old Miner's Tag has the number (45) on it.
The Dog Tag is dated - 1936.
The "Rival Dog Food" Tag has - "This dog belongs to Elmer Crable - P.O. Box 171 - Bowerston, Ohio" stamped on it.

Sorry, been working long hours - didn't have the time to clean most of these finds yet.

We plan on going back to this site again this weekend - I'm sure there's more good finds waiting to be dug up !

Good hunting ! --- Mark
