Look like the knockouts on an electrical outlet box.

I agree with 2000nkb, electrical box knock outs

I'm no coin expert, but I have seen my fair share of electrical knock outs.
Sorry, but I have to concur with the other guys.

HH y'all.

Frank

I have never seen electrical outlet boxes made of brass/copper !! Are they magnetic ? From the looks of the verdigris-like oxidation on them, they don't look like like steel.

Also, knockouts are uniform in size.

My bet is they are foreign coins.

Just sayin...

Happy hunting !!

I agree. Electrical box knockouts wouldn't have any verdigris on them. Steel wouldn't do that. I'm pretty sure you have a couple of smoked copper coins there. Kind of bittersweet to find coppers with no detail.

The smaller one looks like it has a profile of a Spanish Royalty on it. Just my point of view.
Try dampening them with your fingers and looking at them from the side, looking towards a window. Might help.

Electrical knockouts are made of steel of steel and will rust. These are coins, probably King Georges.

I agree with the coin theory, I heard about this cleaning method recently and it did word for a 1773 Virginia half penny I found. Cit a slit in a potato and leave it for a couple days. It really worked for me.

I agree

Early Copper prob georges

That should say cut a slit in a potato, push the coin into it, and leave it for a couple days, anyone else ever try that?

You can take measures both currencies, diameter, thickness and weight? With this information I can compare with Spanish coins of the eighteenth and nineteenth
Greetings Senda

Looks to me like a King George (left) and a large cent.
