I used a quarter for image comparison only,did not find the quarter.Can some one give
me a idea of what they may be.
I have never seen electrical outlet boxes made of brass/copper !! Are they magnetic ? From the looks of the verdigris-like oxidation on them, they don't look like like steel.

I agree. Electrical box knockouts wouldn't have any verdigris on them. Steel wouldn't do that. I'm pretty sure you have a couple of smoked copper coins there. Kind of bittersweet to find coppers with no detail.
The smaller one looks like it has a profile of a Spanish Royalty on it. Just my point of view.
Try dampening them with your fingers and looking at them from the side, looking towards a window. Might help.
I agree with the coin theory, I heard about this cleaning method recently and it did word for a 1773 Virginia half penny I found. Cit a slit in a potato and leave it for a couple days. It really worked for me.
You can take measures both currencies, diameter, thickness and weight? With this information I can compare with Spanish coins of the eighteenth and nineteenth
