Noodling around on the beach in San Diego tonight for about an hour (I've had the CTX for about three weeks, still learning). Just getting ready to leave when a young girl asks if I can help her family find her mom's gold earring that had just slipped out of her ear. Mom was standing where she thought she lost it, dad was keeping the kids back a few feet. I switched over to the beachdude2TF program I had downloaded and found it in about a minute. The earring was similar to a thin gold chain with a post. It rang in nice and strong at 12-01 and was down only about 2-3". Got a high five from the son, turned down $5.00 from the father, and left feeling like the hero. Still looking for my first "keeper" gold, but I'm glad I was able to help their family out.
