Fort Worth Info:confused:

Rob (IL)

New member
I am going to visit my son soon and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on an old site to hunt in Forth Worth. I know there are parks but which are old. I could use some Texas silver. ROB

Sound like it going to be a really good time. Have fun and bring home some Texas gold and silver.:twodetecting:

I hear the silver and gold is BIGGER in Texas good luck

I'm sure you know Rob, but Google maps or earth is a great tool. The site I'm currently hunting I found just by using google maps and it has been one of my most productive sites, quantity wise. Good luck finding silver.

Come on down about 2 hours south and I'll take you to the park that I've been finding all that silver at! 1 Barber Qtr, 1 SLQ, 2 Wash Qtr, 2 Barber Dimes, 3 Mercs, 3Rosies, 3 War nickels, 5 buffalos, and tons of Wheaties! I may have got it all lol. And they say that park was hunted out!!

Yep Google is a good tool but it doesn't help when you are trying to find the old parks. There are a lot of parks and I'll only get to hunt one day.

I wish I could get some of that Texas silver but I won't have that much travel time. Thanks

Rob, I used google and did a search for "old high schools fort worth". Just an idea, never know...

This result was the 3rd (the second was from the 1950's). It was built in the late 1800's. The address is given and then you can use google maps to see if there is a possibility of searching it. Not sure about checking the laws. North Side High school
Read the history, interesting.

Good luck,
EMS
