Fort Surprise...

I have been eyeing a property where a home burned a while back and now they are putting in a small but upsacle subdivision. The property is partly graded but along the back it is original ground and in the back corner is an area of about 1/4 acre of cleared woods. I hunted around for a while with my new SE in the back where the original driveway was, thinking I might find some coins or something, I found nothing.
Finally I decided to switch to my F75 because I know it so much better. I immediately began to ID pulltabs, not digging them. I decided to wander up to the wooded area. As soon as I walked up there I recognized a small fort. It is a perfect place for a fort it has command of one of the valley approaches to the river and Sherman's buys would certainly have been here. It was getting late but I found an eagle cuff button right away. I guess i'll have to go back and spend some time there huh?
