fort lauderdale beach

Hi, I decided to drive down to fort lauderdale beach and hunt a bit. well i was getting a tremendous amount of interferance. i have incountered this also in miami. with my excal. in disc. mode i had to have the sinsitivity down to around 2 to 3 (3oclock) has anyone ever incountered this ?? thanks.

I have incountered storm interference . this was a steady reverberating low foil tone going in and out.... tho only way to rid it was to turn the sensitivity to about 3.
 
there is a pay to park area right on the beach. i also recall a walk over bridge there. also a little outdoor excersize area on the upper part of the beach. there was too much current to water hunt. there also was a pritty big sand build up.. i was getting pull tabs at 6 to 8 inches.
