Fors gold plus finds

Went for a short hike to an old pocket gold area. Had some good luck there in the past with gb 2. Fors plus runs alot better in this hot mineralization then the high powered gb2. Fors plus found a few of these pieces at depth with just a repeatable whisper. Still running boost mode at sites like this. 80-85 sens. And sometimes I turn down the idmask to 5. It hits small and deeper targets better. 3.4 dwt for the day.

Dang cfg, don't know much about the gold hunting but as I see it with the Nokta you have brought in a total of 18.3 dwt. I may have done this wrong but at the current price of gold you have just over $950 in gold found! WTG!!!!

Please let me know if I did something wrong in calculating it up but if that's the case you have paid for the unit and then some. Great job working those spots!

Thanks 3ringer. Yes the nokta detectors I have used including new fors plus has helped me find some nice gold. Im looking forward to a great detector season. Good luck.

even per week (if you only recovered that one day out of a week) ... still amounts to 176.8 dwt per year, and for newcomers to gold nugget hunting that totals to 8.84 ounces of gold per year. Sure adds up to making this a great hobby!

Did you only work the Gold + with one search coil, or change them around?

Which worked better for you at the terrain you displayed, the 5" DD, 5½X10 DD or 5½X10 Concentric?

Best of success on your next journey afield. Maybe I'll e-mail you for some site suggestions when I make a California trip in a few months. I haven't been finding many productive sites like you work the past decade here in Eastern Oregon. Very thin pickin's, plus my mobility limitations sure cut in on where/how far I travel afoot.

PS: For readers not familiar with gold nugget terminology, 'dwt' is the abbreviation for 'pennyweight,' and one ounce = '20 dwt.'

I used the dd 10x 5.5 at this location. It is pretty hot. I do have some mellower spots that I want to try the concentric coil at. It is pretty anazing how tiny some pieces that I found previously with the 10" dd was. Also I want to try out the little coil to at a small gold location. Ill be doing more videos here quickly. Now that I got my sd card problem straightened out by a camera tech. There is some good spots over in s.w. oregon monte you should try there. Im not sure where the public land is in oregon. But I know guys that find good pocket gold up in s.w. oregon.
Take care
