Hit some Old Timers diggings with the CoRe and the little 5" coil. This machine is awesome in the trashy areas separating the good from the not so good!
Finally found some old, large caliber rim fire cases. Everyone but me seems to find these things...until now:).

They are 56-56 Spencer cases first used in the Civil War. The smaller one appears to be .44 caliber. Used between 1860 and 1920. Now I can cross these off my "To Find " list.
The head stamp says F.V.V. & Co. (Fitch Van Vechten & Company, New York, NY.)
Found these in an old Central Arizona mining camp.

Nice finds. I as a gun nut enjoy finding the old casings and head stamps. I plan on making a shadow box to display all mine soon.

Thanks greaser. I'm a gun nut as well so I was stoked to find these. These are not too common here in Arizona. The shadow box is a great idea.
