Where I live there is high mineralization in the soil and mainly it is red clay. I had some time to scan through the side flower bed again that borders the wood line and I get a mixed tone but solid and the TID reads 82 then flashes around 92-93-94 then back to 82. I know from experience there is at least a penny to be dug and the depth indicator on the Fors is reading 24. So I know it really cannot be too deep. Well I dig about a good 30 cm of depth and use the pin pointer to hit the hole and dirt dug out and nothing. Dig a bit deeper and start to get a hit. Dig some more until I reach about 12 inches and wham there is the penny. Wow a great solid tone on a penny at 12".......wait, the pin pointer is still hitting deeper. I dig more earth out and about 2" more and bam a, yeah reason for the 90's TID > aluminum can! But still I think this machine distinguished between a penny in the same hole and a aluminum can which ran deeper!!!
I love the Fors CoRe so far!
