I have been buying a lot of silver these last few weeks. People that come here are from all walks of life. Today for example I took in a 1oz silver round, a 64 half, a 1892 Colombian commemorative half, a Washington, a war nickel and a 1865 2

It is a shame that they need money so badly that they don't take time to check out what the selling prices are! I hope and pray, too, that our economy turns around and people get back on their feet also! Ma Betty

YOU are VERY mistaken. I give them a price that WE WILL PAY. its THEIR CHOICE to accept it or not. So don't call me a THIEF unless you know what your talking about.

Quote "It really isn't my fault they don't do their homework before they come here."
That is what I mean they do not know but you do and take advantage of that.
Quote " I want to help people instead of take from them. Maybre this next year business in this one horse town will pick up and people will get back on their feet."
They can walk out but they don't because they are desperate and again you take advantage.
Maybe it is business but no one said it was good business. I have nothing against you just listen to your own post and let me know how it sounds?

I don't run the only place in town and its NOT MY responsibility to tell them to look around. I make money for the boss and thats it. Peace

had the peice for sale in the shop for months sum time and it's not selling.Meanwhile you've got money in it you pay the rent, insurance, help, lights, and all the others things and the thing you payed cash for mouths ago is still hasn't made you a dime.

pawn shops provide a needed service for people in need of quick cash and loans on items. At a local pawnshop I bought an electric bed similar to a hospital bed for a relative, after a little negoation it cost $200. there, but $1000 plus anywhere else. It was in very nice shape. After i paid for it the pawnbroker told me if I ever wanted to sell it he'd buy it back.

No, I haven't been in a casino, but have heard many Senior Citizens go for fun and entertainment but I am not one of them! I have to be very stingy with my money because of being on SS of a very small amount a month! I do have a small IRA left, but it will soon be gone just to pay what I already owe and trying to keep my head above water and have a place to live! Don't travel much because too expensive and not able to do so because of my health! I still hope many people have more and do better this coming year, but really don't think so until we come out from under the trials we are having in the USA as of now and have been for quite some time!  Ma Betty

I have learned Robert ( Scubadetector) is really a nice guy.. He sometimes expresses his thoughts in a way it could be taken wrong. I assure you... he has a good heart.
He meant no more in his post than.......He works for a pawn shop..he can offer so much for an item that comes in..( Owners rules). He hates feeling like he is taking advantage of the customers, and wishes they checked values before presenting them up for pawn, or sale to a pawn shop....perhaps selling them in a better market..where they could get more.. He also hopes the economy in his town picks up so no one has to sell or pawn their items..........Like I said .he is a guy with a good heart..
