I hunted along along a creek where it was cooler and found a spot that looked like a good place to rest so I hunted it and came up with this, I think it is Canadian the stamp on the handle says Ontario 9-87. Thats one of the nice things about living in the mountains the flat landers come up and leave a lot of stuff just wish they take their garbage. HH rimdig Chuck:detecting:

Chuck, that is a military survival knife. I use to pack them in survival kits in the early 70's when I was in the Air Force. Kabar use to make ours and that looks idetical. A very sturdy knife. R.L.

Was it a Canadian military knife made by Kabar? Your right this knife is stout, there are two holes in the top part of the hilt do you know what they were used for. Thanks for check it out. Chuck

Looks to be in great shape and sturdy too. Great find!!!! :yikes:

The 2 holes may have been to attach to the rifle. Like a bayonet, Beale.
