Started finding foreign coins yesterday at a beach i had hunted twice this past winter.. unfortunately these coins must have been part of someones seeded hunt as they didn't jive date wise with the concentration of items i had found previously. ... nevertheless i had a great time and even thought the Italian 200L coin might be gold when i 1st dug it up as it was incredibly shiny.. coins countries of origin include: UK,india, equador, italy, japan and i did manage one wheaty from the the good ole usa...[attachment 330961 20160515_0619361.jpg][attachment 330962 20160515_0618011.jpg]

Beach has some foreign tourists.
200 Lira is not in use for 10+ years ... Italy has Euro now...

Cleaned them up..[attachment 331132 IMG_20160518_1904476761.jpg][attachment 331133 IMG_20160518_1906179951.jpg]

Yea, those are odd-ball foreign coins to be finding. I find them, but mainly Euro coins on the beach and in the water behind the hotels.

I occasionally find a foreign coin on one of my local beaches. Usually in the vicinity of the only hotel at that beach but I have never found more than one in a days detecting I meet quite a few people on the beach with strong foreign accents so I am sre that they are the ones losing the coins.

Thanks guys, like i said im quite certain these coins were planted here for a competion hunt or someone just threw them here...all were found in a 1 block area on the exact same sand i hunted twice this past winter..
