Ford Cap for something...

Hello Everyone,

Found this yesterday and wondered what it was used for. I am not very knowledgeable about old car parts so here it is. Made of what I believe is copper, approx. 2" high and 2 1/2 " wide. Looks to be about 20 thin threads on the inside bottom.
Also found a Mercury Lock Faceplate and could not find it online to see how old it may be.
Thanks for your help

It looks like a model T wheel cap . check this out .http://gonecountryantiques.com/item/Early-1900s-Ford-Model-T-Wheel

Very Cool, Thanks a lot United!! I have a friend in Hendersonville, NC with about 7 Model T's. Looks like he just got a spare part.

The other round thingy was harder to identfy, glad you got a good clear picture. It appears to be a coin of the United States. Worth one quarter of a dollar. Or a 2 bit piece. It was made in 1989 A.D. (the system of dating in use at the time, roughly corresponding to 2742 A. U. C. ) and it is a depiction of the first President of the aforementioned country, George Washington, based on a 1786 bust by one Houdon.

It's seems to be of little value today.:usaflag::rofl::rofl:
