That's quite a haul. And some interesting stuff too. Nice pics!

One question:

Whose hands are those? They are way too clean for anybody that does the kind of digging you do. Mrs. Chile, mayhaps?

Mike remember I don't dig!! (Excal in one hand - vibra probe in the other)

You should see the look on people's faces as they try to figure out what I'm doing

I use the Vibra probe 560

Locate the target, fan the bottom with my hand, pinpoint the target with the vibra probe - Place the target in my pouch 5 - 15 seconds!!!

This method has worked well for me since the bottom is rock and clay

Where a scoop or shovel can't go

Deeper is a little bit more sandy and I use a scoop with a floating basket ( When I can't bend over any more )

But I have found that the good stuff can't sink in the clay and rocks!!

And not like the ocean, the stuff stays put on the bottom until I locate it

Thanks for the feedback - I like to dig everything - zero discrim on the excal

I been fooled many of times digging set tones -

I try to guess what the object is before I locate it -

Have you tried to guess - It keeps ya going!!!!!!!!

Good luck and HH - Bruce

Oh yeah...I ALWAYS guess. And I'm tuned in to the Excal pretty good. I mean, as far as I can say "Quarter...dime...nickel...penny" and be right 90% of the time. Bottlecap mabye 99%. When I get into pull tabs and gold rings it's a little tougher but there have been more than a few times that I've said "Now that's a classic gold ring signal there..." and been right. The Excal is a great machine.
