I put my order in for Fishers Wed. afternoon. I have to say the only fisher I had before now was a Fisher Gold Bug. Fisher has great water units. I got a 1280-x on it's way to play with ( I mean have as a display :D ) Do any of you have this unit ? How do you like it ? Plus if you use other Fishers, How are they? Thanks, Jeff in the rain in SC :D

God bless
Jeff

I use a Fisher CZ-70 for dirt fishing and a HeadHunter Diver for the water and rainy weather. The HH is basically a souped up 1280 with a few tweaks. I love em both. Better get yourself a good scoop cuz you'll be diggin deep! HH'n

The 1280-X is a great machine. Built like a tank, be sure to get the belt clip with it, so you can hip mount it. The only one better is the CZ-20. Maybe make a post over at the Fisher forum asking what unit they all use. Then make a list to see what are the most popular! :)

I have 3 Fishers & love them. A backup 1265 X ; my main one, a 1266 XB ; and I have the 1280 X.
I like them all, used the 1280 only about 5 times at the beach so far but it works great. I truly believe I could not find more with any other detector than the 1266. Steve in so az

my CZ-20 is really built like a tank. Hadn't used it that much since I got the Exp II in April but I did take it out in a bay last weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't find any gold but if it was there, this baby would have found it :) Lifetime warranty too! Can't beat that! The only thing I regret is not getting the larger coil for water hunting... swinging an 8" is like swinging a hockey puck  It's slow hunting if you want to cover a lot of ground. Depth is excellent, even with the 8" coil. I don't think there's a tremendous difference in depth between the Exp II and the CZ (although I REALLY love the bells and whistles of the Exp) Too bad it can't take a dunking or I'd use it all the time :)
