I'm a diehard analog user of 30 years. I think this forum needs some folks to post some pictures and or stories, of their finds with their non digital machines, whether it be coins, relics, or whatever, and tell what detector their using, how deep the finds were, etc., etc.. I think this would do us all a good service, and reenforce our belief , and possibly others, that digital readout detectors are not any better than analog, just newer. My old "64 chevelle didn't have all the bells and whistles as my new car but it certainly had more power. All these other metal detector forums focus a great deal on their finds and performance of their machines, I think this forum needs to focus a little more on that subject as well, because I know you guys are finding some good stuff, and thats what it's all about, and it would be great to hear about it. It doesn't matter what detector you use, although it is nice to know. This is an analog forum which covers a lot of different brands, not just one like most of the other forums. I know for myself that this would be one interesting and informative forum to be apart of for a diehard analog dude.

i gotta agree with you, some of the analogs are great machines... and yes i am kinda suprised theres not more of a buzz on this forum... .whites 5900 di pro is my analog machine.... it out performs my sov gt on small gold , but having said that i do remember a time when i was in a field with the sov gt and 3 guys carring xl pros invited themselves into my hunting area.. i was finding flat buttons and the occasional large cent and they had a hard time getting a signal... every machine has its place...

there are other Analogs other than White's.
For all those that need to see the choices of detectors, visit my site

Maybe you'll find the detector you once owned and will rekindle a memory you can post here.

I love analog's. If it beeps, I dig! Most of the time it's junk, some time's it's something cool! I'm thinking how many people passed up this signal? Their loss.
