I know allot of you swing Excal`s wondering what you have found to be a good setting for sensitivity. I`ll have my Excal soon, Thanks for any help.

Darren, you will absolutely be able to run 12 o'clock and I usually run 11 with no problem. If working the wet sand only, you can even do 10 o'clock. Beyond that you will probably get some falsing or instability. On our beaches you can pretty much "set it and forget it" at 11. If you find that you're in an area where it's a little "tweaky" then drop it to 12...you'll still dig stuff well over a foot deep. Now that's based on the 10" coil. If you run like a Sunray S-12 or other big coil on it you will have to drop it a tad. In the deeper water you may have to drop it a tad...I think Max said he has to run 1 o'clock in the water. Bottom line...start at 11 and work from there.
