Well i just spoke to one of the whites big wigs and i was toled the circuit board motherboard are the same. I also was told the coin and jewlry mode software are the same. So for those who say its differnt or where wondering if they are the same machine they are. Minus the relic mode and prospecting mode.

[size=large]well thanks for the info. but the next time i get the chance i'm getting me another MXT PRO. the tones of the M-6 w/ the relic mode as well.
a little more money but it's worth it in my book.

As I have explained to people for many years now, the M6 is just a simplified MXT, expressly catered to the Coin & Jewelry hunting group. Many MXT users don't often, or ever, use the Relic mode, and only those more dedicated to nugget hunting or occasional searches in the All Metal Prospecting mode use it. Most MXT users just like the excellent performance in the Coin & Jewelry mode most of the time.

My oldest son, just turned 41 a couple of weeks ago, moved up from his IDX Pro to the M6 an it completely satisfied. I've convinced many to ho the M6 route rather than the MXT, which they didn't need, and use the difference is cost to gt a 5.3 Eclipse coil and a decent set of headphones.

The M6 is never a mistake for a top-end coin hunting detector.
