For those using rechargeable battery packs and chart their finds>

I am including a separate column on my coin counter spreadsheet this year. I think it would be a good idea to have a column that shows when you charged your battery pack. I have a column on mine already for how long I am out so, a simple column with an x in it the date you charged your battery pack. That way you will have a better idea when it is due a charge again.

Thanks Gregg,

I think that is a good idea. I just added it to my spreadsheet. After some time passes I will actually know how long a fully charged pack should last.

Have fun,
Bob

Thanks, I notice around 10 hours with my DFX I need a charge. So by marking a column and watching your hours it is a ton easier. Because even though I was looking at my hours i would still not charge. Now with the "X" the day I charge it no reason to forget! Usually three trips does it for me, I would ignore the hour count, where as the "X" stands out. As long as I keep my log up! I do have a new spare battery pack so as one runs out I will fully charge the other the day before.

Thanks again Gregg,
Sounds like you have your battery charging system worked out well. I just got 10.5 hours with my XL Pro. I would not have known how long the pack lasted if I hadn

You are welcome on the battery charging idea, and the counter looks great. Especially the numbers. Who cares if it is straight! Just keep posting so I can watch your numbers! My goal is 5400,< I know I will pass it, unless detector breaks on me again... its great not to be in competition and see others doing well! Yes the battery idea works like a gem! Once you figure out what you are getting from the other ones, it will be even easier!

My coin total for last year was 5116. Am a little ahead of last years pace so far. My goal for this year is 6000 coins but you never know what the future holds. Whatever happens, this treasure hunting thing is just plain fun.

Good luck on passing your goal by a bunch.

Have fun, Bob

Now im going to say something dumb. Dont you put your rechargeable batteries on charge each time when you get home? Other wise your detector is still trickeling juice even after your hunt if its in your detector. Are you talking about the finding the LIFE of your rechargeable? Now thats something id like to know... but everyone uses theirs differently. Its like people who exercise and people who dont.. how long will i live?
