For those that sent their ATpros in - What free gift did you receive if any?

And are people really complaining because they got a free gift that isn't what they want??
 
Some people were asked to pay the shipping themselves in exchange for a free gift. Maybe some didn't get what they expected? This could happen you know...

My sentiments exactly as I paid $16.75 for shipping a new detector in for repair, so basically it's a wash since the Texas Twister tool can be bought for $17.00 or less, not free at all since I paid for shipping.
 
More like a forced purchase of a tool that no one wants in the first place
 
Good afternoon,

Garrett received my AT Pro Monday, repaired it Wednesday and said they would ship it UPS Red today so I would have it tomorrow. They didn't say anything about a free gift but they are paying the freight charges. They replaced my coil and LCD. I hope I don't experience anymore problems. My son is kicking my butt, plucking up buffalo nickles like crazy with his ACE 350.
 
I wouldnt care if they didnt give me a free gift ....I just want the detector back..... tomorrow would be ideal. Heck, a simple communication that they even recieved it on the 22nd(someone signed for it), would be nice ...
My take is .....their warranty doesnt express they send you a shipping ticket .... YOU send it in, and they fix it and send it back. Of course some folks feel this should have been a recall...... in which case they should pay for shipping both ways.....BUT that didnt happen..... I guess the bottom line here is, IM just too "aggressive" of a THer ;-)
 
WOW.... I requested a return ticket and was told Id receive a gift.... mine got there on the 22nd of Feb, havent heard anything back yet
 
I hadn't heard anything from Garrett either so I called, I was told mine was repaired and already on it's way back.
He gave me the tracking number and told me they included the Texas Twister Tool for my trouble, after checking
the tracking info mine is due back tomorrow, Friday March 3rd. So if you haven't heard from them call and ask
for an update on the repair of your detector. They will ask for your name and zip and then tell you where they
are at with it.
 
I haven't sent mine in yet, and I don't need any more tools, I been working for 40 years, I have every tool you can buy, and don't want something I don't need, I'd send it back and make them pay shipping both ways, I do this with all mail that comes to me "return to sender", I don't get junk mail anymore :)
 
Well is it not wonderful that you pay between$ 475. to$ 600. for a quality machine and you have troubles with it and you have to send it back on your dime when it is under warranty. I should have bought a Mine-lab .
