Met a fellow in the park the other day who was an experienced detectorist and was using a Radio Shack Discovery 3300 and left his top of the line units at home to hunt in this new park...In any case I tried the unit and it really impressed me. Now my question is the F-4 an improved 3300 or a total different unit..Although never used the F-4 would feel for certain conditions just might be a nice midline machine if it was built along the lines of a 3300..appreciate your thoughts...so any input fire away...

Hey Dan: I own an F4 and a 3300. I believe the F4 is a revamped version of the 3300. BUT IT IS NOT A 3300. It is much more stable and much better feel than the 3300. Also you do not lose your settings when you go to pinpoint like the 3300. It uses all the Bounty Hunter coils. I own 12 other detectors and I like the F4 a lot. I have hunted with Bounty Hunters for many years. In my opinion it is really a Bounty Hunter. There is an old saying...If it looks like a duck.....walks like a duck... Quacks like a duck...you can call it an eagle if you want to but it is still a duck.....But I do like the F4......Jack
