For those that have the 700, 900, or even the Manticore now...

Has anyone done any testing on nickels to see if these detectors give better separation between them and trash, tabs, and erasers?
Just curious if anyone has done any testing on in ground targets.

Not testing but just digging with the Manticore. I have dug civil a civil war button at 9.5 and a V nickel at 10 plus, very impressed with the depth and the audio gain response. I don't hunt parks so typically don't see pull tabs etc.. .

I'm digging pull tabs that hit at or about the same as nickels 25-26 with my 900 and I have dug some very deep nickels!

What seems to fool me the most on the 800 is not the actual tabs, but the little beaver tails that are not attached to the old style tabs.
I was wondering if the expanded TID helped with this.
However, I have found the 800 to be pretty good at finding nickels… now if I can just over get over a piece of gold with it.🤣

I can tell they do not sound as good as a nickel does to me a nickel hits harder I did dig one yesterday knowing because of the tone I wanted to see and I was right a softer hit than a nickel.
