For those of you who are not NRA members, you might not be aware that this July 4th, a day celebrating our independance from tyranny...

That the United Nations, under Kofi Annan, will be having a world-wide meeting on the disarmament of the private United States citizen. At this meeting will be 50 dictatorships, and 6 terrorist state governments in attendance, which will be more than happy to see your right to defend yourself eliminated. This battle has been going on for five years, and could be enacted into law with the signing of one signature, under an international treaty. Your guns will be confiscated by UN blue-helmeted confiscation teams; all gun sales banned in the United States, as well as ammuntion.

That will leave you with nothing but a baseball bat, fire poker, or hunting knife to defend yourself when two or three illegal gun-weilding burglars/rapists/drugged up scumbags break into your house.

If you are not an NRA member, I would strongly encourage you to join. There are currently over 3 million NRA members. We need 80 million; that's about how many people legally own guns in this country. It's OUR responsibility to protect OUR rights ~ Don't count on the goverment to do the right thing.

... the majority of the UN troops are U.S.A troops .... most all of which, I would think, own their own guns and would take their blue helmets and shoot holes in them, then walk off the job.

Who's next up to the plate? France? HA! Germany? We've kicked their a$$ twice already. Russia? Nope they can't afford to keep up what they haven't already sold. China? Wal-Mart would get really pissed and switch purchases to Tiawan.... and perhaps some back to the USA ... well a little bit.

One thing for sure, it would take more than a few blue helmeted a-holes to clear the guns just from out short little neighborhood street ... much less our redneck county.

I fear more the liberals that are doing and saying anything to scare folks into voting them back in power. The libs are more likely to be more successful than the UN in dis-arming our country's private gun owners. JMHO
