southeast texas around the big thicket said he spotted one a few years ago but really didn't have a way to prove it,neat birds.alot of the woodpeckers here are small, but the larger red headed ones show up sometimes.

i like the redheaded ones best,the red is really kind of vibrant.
 
Saline River is just across the road and a pasture away from us. It's certainly swampy enough. Maybe they will multiply and give us a look! :)

they catch them from time to time, but very deep down. Huge teeth and ugly as a new volkswagon:D

Who can offer a photo of the Tasmanian Tiger. Seems as though there are species that people thought were extinct, but have survived in pockets.
