Happy New Year!

Boy that brings back a recent memory. OK, here goes.

My wife had her knee scoped on the 21st. 5:30 am we had to be in Kearney, Neb. So after the "outpatient" surgery, we still had some CHRISTmas shopping to do. Do you know how hard it is to find a person on one of those motorized "store" scooters??? I'd walk around with my arms full all throughout the store. Finally one of the store personell asked "Can I help you". I replied, I'm looking for Dale Earnhardt Jr.. They left me alone then.

After we were done shopping, I pulled the Durango up to the front loadout. Well there was an armored "cash" car there and so I parked by one of those RED balls. After I helped my wife into the vehicle, crowd and cars everywhere. I finally pick my spot and pull out only to drive up onto one of those stupid balls. With people gawking, I embarassingly back off and get out of there. When I finally stop, I was glad to see the only "momento" from the incident was a bright Red mark on the front left bumper.

When the kids asked what happened, I told them I hit Santa Claus on the way home.

By the way. Those "RED" target balls are made out of cement.....not plastic. Take my word.

I love it!! They need flags on top of those balls so that you can see them when you have a tall vehicle!

Hey Neb....what kind of TARGET ID did you get on that ball...

I once backed into a tree and told the husband it happened in a parking lot.

He knows the truth now but as long as Santa did not total you, you are doing fine!

Regards and Happy "Safe" New Year To Everyone especially NEB/Troy

Good Morning, The interesting thing is that your picture of the front of the Kearney Target looks exactually like the one here in Yuma, AZ. When I brought up the picture I thought you were here in Yuma. Taking the E-Trac to a park here in Yuma today for it's first test run. It is currently 38 degrees but will warm enough by afternoon to be workable. Looking forward to getting back to NE this spring and go back over all the worked out places I covered over the years. Have a grand-daughter in Kearney and will be there for a few days in the motor home and hope to get in some swing time in that area. Will see if the E-Trac really goes deeper.

LOL Dang things jump out in front of you!
Hows the snow down there? About 8 inches here  gonna be a while before I can get the e-trac out...makes me sad!

Good Afternoon, Nice to hear from you. I have come to Yuma, AZ for 8 years and this is the worst winter so far. We have had more clouds and wind than ever before and it was 29 degrees this morning. Till last year I spent two days a week digging dirt in the desert for gold (always found some). Last year I started going out with my X-Terra 705 for nuggets. Did ok as one nuggut equals a lot of gold dust. I had a Minelab Explorer II and just moved up to the E-Trac. Have had it out once and was real excited with the results.

It warms up some in the afternoon and I see it is now 51 degrees so I am heading to the park I was at the other day. See if I can keep finding deep stuff like the last time.

Will let you know

Nice to meet you ddcarr! Hope all goes well hunting for treasures down there. Was -2

Nice meeting you, Neb Trac. It seems that our climate change is taking NE back to the weather we had years ago. The 80's through the 2000's were pretty mild. It is supposed to be up to 65 degrees here tomorrow so we are heading the right direction again. I did get an hour in the park again this afternoon. Pulled a 1969 penny out from 8 to 9 inches in the dirt amongst the trash. No much as far as value but made me feel good as I can tell the E-Trac is going to be great once I get it understood. Looking forward to hitting some of the places in NE where the sand is-----a lot easier digging. Stay Warm. ddcarr :detecting:

Whoops  After cleaning the penny it is actually a 1961 model----which is better.
