Re: Finding silver coins only?

Mr.Bill wrote: "That's a little tough to do with 100% reliability. The closest to that would be the Goldscan 5C, by Eric Foster, and the Whites version of it, the TDI. There both PI detectors that can discriminate. Setting them up to respond to high conductive targets only, ( just a matter of throwing a switch ), would accomplish a high reliability of high conductive targets, mainly coins.

Neither one is inexpensive. The Whites TDI is at $1600., and the Goldscan at $2700."

Mr.Bill, are these two units above the exact same with about a $1100 difference in price?? (I was told the older Goldscan 5B was the only other PI unit that worked properly in Australia for their gold conditions besides the Minelabs and are top quality. The German made and other PI's do not work in the goldfields, just on ploughed fields and in black dirt.)

Also on your site, is this a high performing unit for coins, gold. and depth??
(Looks like a relatively unknown sleeper unit with a long history of improvement and developement and success at finding things I have read and heard.)

Thanks!

Yes/no. The Whites TDI is a unit designed by Eric Foster for Whites, based on the Goldscan 5 circuirty. The Goldscan 5C, like all of Erics detectors, are hand built, custom made units. The quality of the componets used in the Goldscan 5C is of a higher level, and like I just said, they everyone is hand assembled, adjusted by the master himself, Eric Foster.

True, the Goldscan 5 handles the tough ground in Australia quite well.

Switching over to the Discovery Baron II. This unit is a super detector, designed by George Payne. Like all big units the learning curve is steep, but the payout is great.

It's as deep as it get's. No one would have to worry about taking the back seat using this, once it is learned. It has a Gold program built into it, silver coin program, or a relic program. Take your pick.
