For Kindle owners with a Prime membership.

Don't know if you knew this but Amazon actually has a lending library if you have a Prime membership where you can get certain books for free and read them as long as you want before you return them.
I think this only works on a kindle product, it probably won't if you just have the Kindle app reader on your computer.
You are only allowed one book per month, but there is a big selection of these and even some in the metal detecting genre.

The free ones in our hobby are usually just the basics and a rehash of most things and advice that you can find in areas posted all over the forums but that info is all in one place in these books so for a newbie this could be helpful.
Some of the books are different like the one that is last in this list below.

The last one is about treasure legends of the civil war and I have to wait till next month to read it because I already wasted this month's selection on one of those basic books just to see if this stuff works...but that one does look interesting.

As far as Prime, my wife orders from Amazon a lot so I think we have saved about $1,768,233 in shipping costs alone not to mention all the other benefits you get when you join.
I figure Amazon will take over the world one day so might as well jump on board now and take advantage of what they offer.
We also have a Kindle Fire HD and I love this thing.
