Hi John,
I remember you saying you had a new vibra probe. How are you getting on with it?
Just curious as I'm thinking about gettin' one o' them at the beginning of the year Jan or Feb.
Out of all that I've read it seems to me to be the most suitable for me, I like the idea of no on/off switch to go wrong and vibrating within an inch or so of locating the find when wearing earphones.
Sounds and looks good to me.

I have been using a Vibra probe for a year and a half. I wouldn't be without it. No on off switch to mess with. It has a good holster that keeps it fom falling out. I have had a 560 and the new 570. Both are great.

Yeah Awhitster,
I noticed you had one in a much earlier post. I'm real keen to get one.
I feel sure it'll speed up the retrieval process on occasion.
Thanks for reminding me about how pleased you are with it.

At first I was disappointed with my Vibra-probe because I was use to using a White which detected up the shaft a few inches. The Vibra-probe only detects on the very tip; once I got use to using only the tip to detect, I use my Vibra-probe all the time.
I especially like the on-off feature and the fact that it is waterproof. I left a White out in a yard over night by mistake and the dew was enough water to ruin it.

Hi JohnD,
Thanks for your input.
I know from past experience of other items that you guys in the states do make very good quality stuff.
I'm all for Made in the U.S.A.

I am getting by with what I have right now. My next purchase will be a Vibra Probe. In Fl. it wasn't that important to have a hand held pp. Everything was sand. Easy digging. Hand held pp works good on nice lawns. I make a slice in the grass and use the pp'er to locate the target. Here in WV they are invaluable. The wet stony clay sticks to you and won't come off. I stick the tip of my pp in the hole to locate the target and keep my hands out of the mess. When it turns hard and rocky, I use it to pp to determined which rocky chunk is the target. The clay sticks so hard to the coin, you wouldn't know the coin from a rock. On deep targets in hard ground it helps by pp the target after I have chipped some dirt away so I don't hit the target. It also good for pinpointing around tree roots.

I have gotten things made in Scotland, but I can't remember what. Oh, I had a Shetland Sheep dog. Lots of good memories there.
