my mother in law;bless her soul,got me for Christmas-among other things-A 1 YEAR SUBSCRIPTION OF WESTERN AND EASTERN TREASURE MAGAZINE-!!!!Got it yesterday,along with a copy of silver and Gold annualSO:Tomorrow I am loading up and headed to some beaches over Lake Huron way...just going on the sand over at a State Park over Port Huron way;where people lay to get sun-too cold to put on waders and get wet...TODAY:Im going to look at new guitars in Flint-I gety the same financial terms at Guitar Center in Flint as I do at THE OTHER PLACE-AND:I get to play everything they have there,and inspect it very closely-wont have surprises with quality issues like I did ordering thru the internet at the other place...Nice thing is if what I play and like-If they have it in stock;they will break it open then and there and inspect it and set it up for me...I had another music dealer tell me that I talked to before Christmas I would be surprised at the number of older people that have complained to him about THE OTHER PLACE-He told me when THE OTHER PLACE gets an order;they are shipped from another location that DOES NOT inspect any of the merchandise going out-it is shipped out as packed at the factory...I had the same kind of problem with a certain metal detecting mail-order Co.way down Mickey Mouse way...A plastic nut was missing from the detector I ordered-I called to complain and the woman there told me-not too friendly,either-"THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT;THEY ARE SHIPPED OUT TO THE CUSTOMER AS THEY ARRIVE FROM THE FACTORY"...Basically what THE OTHER GUITAR Co. told me..Maybe they should inspect what they sell;and not pass the buck...

Always better to buy from someone you trust, and if you can handle the merchandise first! Good idea!

There was a metal detector dealer near here that was retired and was hard to get a time when he was open. I tried 3 times and he had a real reason or an excuse why he couldn't be there every time. I don't beg anyone to sell me something. I don't know if he is even still alive or not. I've dealt with several dealers on-line with great success. I haven't dealt with the Mickey-Mouse set. It seems you either love or hate them. I wouldn't have a problem dealing with Mike's friend that has donated towards the forum hunt. That's hard to understand the one musical instrument co. having their reputation based on what others do without somekind of control.
