Bill I saw on your video diggin in Virginia ix you used the fisher 1270 with an elliptical coil was wondering if you can still get those from fisher don't see them on there web site for the 1200 series just the gold bug 2. are they interchangeable? thanks Derek
 
That is now a very rare coil that's not from a Gold Bug, just the same mold was used. It's a Fisher X-series eliptical that's no longer made but really nice to have. A bit heavy since it's solid, but I like it for coverage & depth....
I'm also now testing another coil that was made for the X-series that is also no longer made. It's a DD coil which I thought never existed on the 1200 series. But a foreign company made them under the "Excellerator" name. I was going to make a post to show it later. I can hit targets with the 1270 in my test bed & still lift the coil another 6" off the ground. The 1270 is crazy deep and sadly gets forgotten as we play with all these target ID features.....
