For anyone who is skeptical of the AT Pro's ability....

Just thought I would post pics of my 2011 finds. 2011 was by very first year metal detecting, and all items shown in the pictures were found with an AT PRO. I blame my inexperience
on not finding more. Still not a bad first year...somewhere in the range of $58 in clad, (3) 10k gold rings, and 1 sterling ring were the best finds.

My goal for this year is more gold...hey it could happen, especially since now I know my machine...LOL. Also really want to find some silver coins. All that clad and not a single silver!

So...if you are thinking about getting into metal detecting or even adding a new model to your lineup....I can not say anything bad about the AT PRO...it has made me a believer!!

Good Luck in 2012 Everyone!!

I too am in Mi.

Nice haul there, MiTreasureHunter! And you'll only get better as you get more hours on the machine and find more hot spots to hunt!

Same, I keep checking the weather every day and they keep lowering their estimates - so depressing lol.

To the OP - congrats on all yours finds :)

The silver is certainly out there .... just need to be in the right place at the right time !

ok you'll are from MIbut the ATPRO is no good in salt water .So if you want to hunt in Fla.youbetter bring a diffent detector.

What part of florida are talking about , And what kind of metal detector would u reccomend? Why would say this about the ATPRO without going into specifics?

The AT PRO does not like the east side of Fl. at all and on the west side that I live in the AT PRO losses a lot of depth. And just in case you are wondering ,yes I do own an AT PRO . The AT PRO works very well on dry land ,but the salt and other minerals in the water made it unstable.I live in an area of salt and fresh water ,and in fresh water it is a very good detector, but in salt water leave it home . Bring an Excal with you when you come to FLA. My choose would be a Sea Hunter MK2 I like it because it go's about a foot deeper than an Excal .ya I bite dig some iron but I'll find that GOLD that you missed with your Excal.

I use my AT-PRO on a salt beach in Texas with no problems at all. Just lower the sensitivity some till machine is quite and stable.
