Oh what a nice bright sunny day we had here today. The temperature got up to 58 degrees. I hit the first site around 9:00 o'clock and right off I unearthed a 1944 Washington Quarter. I was running the F75SE in the boost mode, 4A for the tones, discrimination was set at 7, and the sensitivity was set at 50. Even with the low sensitivity setting and using the smaller Sharpshooter coil I managed to dig a few wheat pennies at 9 inches deep. They were iffy audio signals. My Pro Pointer was below ground level. The deepest wheat pennies were the oldest. I found 20 of them and they ranged in date from 1909 to 1955. I found a bunch of Mercury Dimes ( 1936, 1939, 1940, 1945 ) and one 1964 Rosie. The sterling silver ring cleaned up nicely. My pride and joy find for the day is a 1920 Standing Liberty Quarter. It was deep and barely giving a high tone and some faint flashing ID numbers. Anything thing deep I'm digging. Around 1:00 o'clock I called it day and headed for home, because I accomplished my goal for the month. Finding a silver coin for as many days as there are in January. I went over by 2. Now I can coast out the rest of the month. I'm going back over the same site tomorrow with the AT Pro.
