Using the EX II I generally hunt using the digital screen primarily and switch to smart find to verify. I hunted a local ballfield today that was probably built in the fifties. I've found a handful of mercs and rosies and wheaties this year. It was cold and rainy and I wasn't finding much. I hate to dig clad dimes and pennies anymore so when digital shows that to probably be the case I pass on the signal. Just as I was about to pack it in I got a nice sounding hit that kept reading and bouncing between 3-28, 4-28, 7-29. I figured oh what the hell and dug it darned if it wasn't a 60 Rosie. Nothing else in the hole. Now I'm wondering how many I've passed up!
