I was going through a picture box and came across this pic of my finds for the best month of my life. The year was 1986, and Garrett had just come out with the ADS 7 which opened up a whole new ball game in coin hunting called motion detecting. These coins were found at places that had been hunted before
The count is 24 rosies, 45 merc, 6 wash. qtr, 1 standing qtr, 1 standing half, 4 silver rings, 3 relig. medals, 1 military medal, and one spoon. I wish I had kept records of wheat, and IH cents but I didn't. At any rate, you can say I cut a lot of plugs. 27 of these signals were dug in an old park in another town where a fellow hunter said he had cleaned it out. I would love to find another spot that had been cleaned out that good Ha-Ha. The challenges are much greater today, but the equipment is so much better. Remember, there are no hunted out spots.

my ex and I never came home empty handed in the early 80's....he left our home in 1986, as we would find silver and sometimes lots of it! Boy, what we could have found if we had then the detectors they have today!!!

Congrats on all the silver and the spoon....it looks like silver, too!

God Bless!

some that I traded or gave away to help get some young person started. Those I've gotten rid of are duplicates of lesser quality.
