The Sovereign with just the probe attached to the box and belt mounted too awkward.Field use of the Garrett 2500 was a surprise. The Garrett is heavy and there is a learning curve.More bounce on the ID than I expected. The 2500 GTI did find a 1920s wheat penny that was down 10 inches plus in an area that was worked hard with the Explorer and Sovereign. With the weight swing speed, scan width and the imaging not a detector for me. Critterhunter,I think the Garrett requires a different sweep speed and approach.Far as getting rid of my Sovereign I have learned the hard way and end up paying more to get another Sovereign each time. The Sovereign in most circumstances works the best for my type of metal detecting.HH Ron
