Follow those trucks! ....they're leavin' silver behind....925 locket found in dry sand at beach yesterday

Finally got a new ignition switch installed, and all kinds of services for my Honda.

Hank and I are planning a trip in the Fall, and I want to make sure that the car is in "tip -top " shape.

One look at the bill :yikes: and you'll see why I'm at the beach almost every day searching for treasures. :help:

Was out hunting for 2 1/2 hrs. early this morning before the high temps arrived.

High tide / dry sand hunt; the beach truck was in operation, so I followed behind it as it smoothed the sand making it much easier to walk along and grid.

Was finding many coins , and then I got a nice high tone and dug up what I thought was maybe
a junk metal, but on further scrutiny I realized that is was an ornate locket ; actually it's a half locket-back is missing

First locket I have found...maybe I will now cross it off my "bucket list".

Here's some pics

As always, thanks for looking at my post / pics

Personal Services
In Connecticut, you pay sales tax for the labor associated with a broad variety of personal services. Services for personal maintenance, including health club membership, spa treatments, nail care, cosmetic medical procedures and yoga instruction, are taxable. You pay sales tax on labor for necessities, like car repair or garbage removal from commercial property, and for the service of photographers, pet grooming and boarding, private investigators, flight instructors and employment agencies.

They have a system that for every 5500 miles , ( which I stretch to 6,000 miles) there is a particular service to be done on the car.

The pattern is : A- B -A -C -A -B - A- D; the "A " service being Oil Change and inspections of several other aspects of the car.

This time , the Honda was due for the "C" service , with the additional problems of ignition switch replacement , and rear brake pads.

I knew that it was going to be expensive, but didn't expect it to be close to $1000.00:help:

Oh, well.... the car purrs like a kitten now ( with all due respect to "Romeo" ) and I feel much safer driving it.:smoke:

Here's a pic of the details of the "C" service

Next time, I'm bringing it to Elson so that he can make it into a Dune Buggy...metallic purple.:super:
