I fell in the muddy yard here at home yesterday, and ruptured my patellar ligament..... knee cap is about 3 or 4 inches above where it is supposed to be. Spent about 3 hours in ER yesterday and wound up getting the leg immobilized with a full leg splint. My wife is carrying me to Little Rock tomorrow morning to see an orthopedic surgeon about getting it put back together. d-2 my relic hunting partner came running when I called him.... thank goodness I had my cell phone with me, cause I couldn't get up without assistance. My wife was with her mom in Little Rock doing some shopping, and met us at the hospital. Thanks, d-2 for being there when I needed help! At the moment..... pain under control with Vicodin.

You'll be fine, I think. There may be some humps to get over and what not, but you'll come through it all like a trooper.

SoArk, I think you should walk this one off and get back to detecting!

A prayer to you for a speedy recovery and a big  to your wife for not saying that's what you get for metal detecting!
