Folding Shove Recommendations

Hey guys,

I've been hitting several ghost town that are now mostly pastures and farm fields. I would like to find a sturdy folding shovel that I can pound in the ground from a standing position. Most of the folding shovels I have seen are only a foot long or a little longer and that just doesn't quite cut it!

Any thoughts or recommendations on a tough folding shovel with a handle of good length would be greatly appreciated!!!

Go to a military surplus store and try to find an old military shovel, the one I have has about a two foot handle. Good Luck

You could buy a surplus shovel and buy a longer handle for it from the hardware store. Or buy a regular shovel and shorten the handle a bit, but then you wouldn't be able to fold it.
