DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY ALL THE SCHOOLS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA HAVE FENCES AROUND THEM?I'M FROM MD. AND THERE IS NOT ANY AROUND SCHOOLS THERE OR IN VA.
 
I'm form Illinois and we don't usually have fences except around the football fields etc. I know that in Texas, especially in the Valley, many of the schools have fences around them and they are locked. Rob
 
I left central Fl. a year ago. Fl. Is # 1 in the nation for crime. The year I left, it went up 188%. Daytona Beach has a big pedophile problem. Sexual predators are everywhere. Orlando can't keep the murder rate from skyrocketing, gangs, drugs, etc. People have little respect for property and would deface the school. It is safer to lock the kids up in the school and keep you out.
 
Yeah, I could tell you, but the truth so UN-PC that it would get me banned. Suffice it to say, CRIME. Yeah, that's the reason.
