Flo is coming to Bermuda on Monday for a short visit.

God bless Flo's 30 mile wide heart, or is it eye? She decided to take a 90 degree right turn and visit Bermuda instead of the trailer parks of Virginia, she's some kind of upscale girl.

That little 23 sq. mi. dot right in front of Ms. Flo would be Bermuda so it looks like we may be taking a direct hit of 100+ mile/hr
winds, rain, storm surge and other nastiness. The island is getting ready as this is not the first time and it won't be the last time that a hurricane has come to visit.
It will be my first real hurricane though, so it should be interesting for me and the princess. Once I get through this one I will have experienced everything disaster wise, except a tsunami.
So far the checklist reads:
Ice storm and blizzard check
Tornado check
House Fire check
Lightning Strike check
Volcanic Eruption check
Earthquake check
Hurricane ????
Tsunami ????

Unless Flo flows elsewhere soon, there will be one less box to check.

Have a Bermudaful Day,

BDA:cool:

Hi BDA,

A girl from the trading floor is getting married down there to a Bermudian guy on Saturday - said about a month ago she was going to call of the wedding if the island got hit by a hurricane! We'll see what happens -- good luck and hope it missed that subtropical paradise you call home and I call heaven......Erik

It is unlikely that Bermuda will be missed completely by this storm. Everyone is gearing up for what may be a repeat of Fabian 3 years ago. I am going to be very, very busy for a while if we take a major hit.

There is no problem without a gift attached, we have the problem because we need the gift.

Batten down the hatches matey.
Safe passage for you BDA. May Flo leave lots of treasure on your beaches.
Let us get an update after the hurricane has passed.
