Flip The Clip On The Shaft

This might be wishful thinking but it can't hurt and might help, so why not do it anyway? Pull the lower shaft off and you'll see the snap adjustment pin that looks like a "V" inside the lower shaft. Flip it upside down so it's further away from the coil, which might allow you to run higher sensitivity settings since it's less likely to be picked up by the coil. I even did this with my custom shaft which has a much longer lower shaft using a carbon fiber Whites tall man rod. It might be as useful as rubbing a rabbit's foot but if it can't hurt then why not?

While you have the stock shaft apart drill a hole for the other head on the snap pin as this will help stiffen up the shaft. Don't know why Minelab only drilled one side out. This is more important than the camlock in terms of taking slop out of the shaft. I don't even use a camlock on my custom shaft.
