Flex Seal on coil bottom

John(Tx)

New member
Has anyone used the Flex Seal Liquid Rubber Seal Coating on the bottom of their Excal coil? Thinking about doing it. I've used the bedliner spray but thinking this may be better..thanks

I'd thing it being rubber it would be more prone to "drag" across things and catch, and make would peal or rip? Bed liner works well if you prep the coil first by sanding and cleaning with rubbing alchohol, and allowing it to dry very well in the hot sun 3 or 4 hours or more between about 3 to 5 coats. Some prefer marine Epoxy for water hunting but others are using spray on liner.

I do believe you are correct Critter....I bought a can and sprayed some on some newspaper. It comes out in spurts and not uniform, I won't be using it on my coil but might try it on my water boots that have a couple of tears....HH

I've thought about the, "Flex Seal" but, the spray type you can get at any auto parts store has always worked good for me. I sprayed some of my X-70 coils a few years back and they are still like day one.
