and clear out the zombies. For house searches, I think 150-250 lumes is plenty. Your usually only dealing with a distance of 14 feet or so, unless of course you're dealing with a hallway. For, say, searching for something out in your yard (you heard a strange noise...) 500 lumes would light your yard up like daylight and 3200 lumes will melt the house and kill the petunias. I have 6 Surefire lights and they are great, well built lights, but they're expensive and they use those expensive 123 batteries that cost about $4-6 a piece. That's why I like these lights out of China, for the money, they're hard to beat and they run on 3 AAA and supposedly put out 400 lumes with fresh batteries.
