Im having trouble reading try using lower case lettering.

I'll be in Cocoa for Spring Break.. 1 blk from the beach.. this way I can hunt quite often.Day & Night lol. I'm sure you didn't wait to hear that.. But I have a friend who owns a Condo there and I did some bartering with him,
and I did some small home improvements for him and in return he will let me have use of his Condo during Spring Break. and the entire month of July..


Joel: John may be having trouble reading small lower case letter's. John, If you go to the top of the message board ..before you start typing hit the "Box"or "button" with the lower and higher T's and you can change the size of your letters... just have to type in between the brackets.. [/size]

sorry guys about upper case letters, new computer, just excited about finds, beware about coca beach, Ive noticed that theres allot of hunters working beach just like me, this might be normal, i dont know, but I'm still having fun, i know i cant get it all.. I'm still dialing in my Excalibur and learning the different tones, it seems to be a very good machine from what Ive seen..I'm just curious why would a hunter with a Excalibur, why would you want a different machine for the same beach..??I'm wanting to try to go into surf soon, I'm going to get a wet suit and try water hunting too.ill keep all posted or if anyone wants a partner to go hunting let me know..

95% of my finds have been in the water...from ankle deep to chest high at low tide.. I prefer hunting in the water because there isn't that much trash, Most of all the Good stuff lies underwater.. Less people to deal with..
etc...

I use an Excalibur in the water and if the surf it too rough, you'll find me Dry & Wet sand hunting.....

The only other machine that I would use in the water would be a PI.. and that would be during off season times.. or when there aren't many targets to be found...

A PI will punch down deeper... but you will be doing A Lot ...A LOT of digging... This would be the perfect time to hit the Beach's with a PI.... but as spring break hits.... That's the last machine that I'd want to use....

too many bottle tops to dig with a PI.. IMO

Wow you are doing great. My Excal was delivered today. I hope to start trying to figure out those tones this weekend. I live up in Jacksonville. Where are you in Florida?

I'm in the kissimmee area, Ive been going to beaches on east coast,i went out to a local park today and found about 36 cents in clad..
as a newbie in this hobby I'm having a blast, I'm getting lot more exercise now if you get down my way look me up..

If I get down in that area, I will look you ok. I'm going out Saturday to give things a try. I only have a short sand scoop, should be interesting. I need to buy a scoop. Several people on here seem to like the big scoops with the wood handles, is that what you use?

Ive got a large scoop with long handle, but mine is all aluminum, it does well for myself,Ive seen guys with wooden handled scoops and wondered how well they work, maybe later this year ill try one, Ive got several different scoops from short to small medium baskets, but my large one works well,not used it in the serf yet..i bought mine from kellyco since there right here in Orlando, now I'm always looking for better, but use whats good for you not cause you see someone else using it..hope this helps, I'm getting ready to hit beach today, I'm just not sure which one to do to?

OK update today, 13 bottle caps and 2 pull tabs...no clad or rings...oh yea 1 hair beret....not a good day at the beach today,even the other guys out there today didn't get much..but i did learn about going into surf and how to hunt in the surf..so very valuable info ....well try again tomorrow...
