FL after a hurrican for hunting/vacation

Hello list
Well my friend got his machine in this past Saturday and so we headed out to a park near him and he found .83 a watch (laying on ground in grass) and a lil sailboat necklass item. So he is hooked and I hope will be joining myself and the rest here soon.

But I was talking to his better half about hitting Floridas east coast this Summer perhaps after a hurrican or large storms hits. I was wondering if anyone on the forum does this or has thought about it.

Also, is this forum open to all machines or just Garrett since its on their web site? Just wondering but I am looking to get a Garrett myself just not sure what one. The 1500 is around the price I'd be willing to pay for one.

Anyone use this or a 1350 or the 2500? What are your feelings on the machines.

Thanks all
Joel

Eagle, what is the "depth finder"

I think the 2500 even at your price is a lil outa the range I want to spend to start back into the hobby. Tho I have always been one to get whatever is the best at the time. This time around I have to keep the price relative to the priority of getting a machine also :-(
Thank you for the offer tho.
Joel
Everybody with a MD'er in Fl. goes out after a hurricane. It is like a Cal. gold rush.
How would you know what the gold rush is like. Have you ever been to Calaforniy-i-a? If 'n you ever come out here you better stop by. I'll show you all the secret spots.............the ones I won't tell Rosco about:rofl:

I use a GTI 2000 I had bought slightly used from a dealer, I dig all bell tone size B targets and have dug a 3 cent silver coin at 8" deep. I have not dug a silver coin of that size that deep with any other of my detectors. I have not used it on a beach so I cannot comment about sand.

You better watch out, my Guvnah can beat up your Guvnah:rofl:
