Fixing a Squeeky Tejon?

New member
Got some wobble in the shaft of the Tejon at the joint closes to the control housing. won't tighten up and it's driving me nuts. what easy fix is out there, i'm sure this happens to others. i read a post on here one time but then I couldn't find it again. i was thinking grip tape to make it snug. I don't want to send it in or anything seems like could be an easy fix.

Tesoro will fix that for you, its a problem with the plating thickness on the lower shaft. If you send it with a letter of explanation, they will make it right. But if you are like me and cant stand to part with your 'baby', plumbers tape will work. Try to avoid tape with a glue-backing as that will gum-up the lock mechanism.
