Five wheatie day.

Got out to a new spot Saturday for three hours. The trash is so bad here so I put on the Bulls eye coil and used mix mode to practice a bit. I found five wheatie (two in one hole stuck together)all in about a ten foot area 4 1/2" deep. Toy jeep .Got another Junior police toy badge, boy scout scarf clasp and a dated 1947 football charm . I may find a silver coin here in time, it is a very hard and tring spot to hunt.

Cool items! That football charm is a really neat find. I'm still looking for a Boy Scout clasp. Just one of my many items I'd love to scratch off my list.

With that many wheat pennies showing up I would be willing to wager that there is some silver coins there just waiting for you to rescue them. Keep working that area and silver will eventually show its pretty face.

I agree with George! Wheats and silvers seem to show up at about a ratio of 6:1. At the rate you are finding wheats, a silver is becoming more and more likely. Keep at it and I think you will score!
