Five Ring Day Silver, Gold and Platinum!!!:wiggle:

So I started the day off hunting one of my local beaches, it had a small cut that had developed recently so I figured I would try it. About 15 minutes into the hunt, I heard a sweet silver sound ring out from my Sov and out pops a ring in the side of the cut. It had been there for quite some time, it is rather beat up and very tarnished, the setting was knocked off so it was just the band. What a great way to start the day I thought! So I hunted for a couple more hours and really didn't find much, a few clad. So I went home happy with my beat up ring. Then around 8:30 p.m. I received a call from a gentleman who lost a his wedding ring on a local beach and he found me through "The Ring Finders" website, I took his discription of where he lost it and went hunting. Once I got to the spot that I heard him describe I hunted for about 45 minutes and heard a sweet sound! 4 inches down out pops a gold wedding band! I was elated! Also while I was hunting for his ring a lady called and needed me to find her platinum set that she had lost that day as well, she told me where to look and as soon as I was done with the first gentleman, I high-tailed it to the other beach, not 5 minutes into it after spotting a beach towel imprint in the sand that matched her location description, out pops three platinum rings, one with a 1.5 ct center, not sure of the others or the weights on any of these. Anyway I didn't get to take a picture of the gold ring, but we all know what those look like. Wow! What a day, my first Platinum ever and first time finding 5 rings in one day. What a feeling getting to return the rings to happy people too, I still have to return the platinums today, as she could not meet me last night. Great day to be a RING FINDER!

A great day for all of us metal detectorists who's image improves every time an honest hunter like you saves the day! Great work - you should be proud!

Just got back from returning the platinum rings to their owner. Very nice woman and boy was she happy to get her rings back! She gave me a nice reward. So 25% of the rewards I got last night and tonight go to charity, what a feeling! Good stuff! And thanks Rob for your comment.

I'm pretty new here and have enjoyed reading and learning, but I want to say, that is a classy thing to do, you are an honorable person. I know what its like to lose a ring, I lost my class ring when it was only 2 weeks in my possesion. That was 32 years ago and its bothered me ever since, so good for you!
