Fishing/metal detecting assault bicycle

Just finished my project for the upcoming beach season. A little paint on the front rack and the rear wood block and she's done. It's primarily set up for fishing but the boxes on the rear are waterproof and they have flaps that open. I can put my coil and scoop in the boxes and have the handles sticking out. I'll use her on Myrtle so I can ride to the cuts in the afternoon instead of walking so damn far. It was a fun project. Just wanted to share

No gears. Got it at the 50 per cent off sale at walMart. Figured I couldn't go wrong. 8 dollars more and it's warrantied for 3 years. Made the rack out of aluminum and some steel for supports from lowes. Kingsford caddies are made for charcoal but are great for mounting on the rack using suspension bars and hooks.

Nice fat tires should do well on the sand.

Awesome! Those super fat tired bikes are showing up on our beaches here in Michigan, some guys ride them on the snow with great success as well...Great job on the assembly/racks...bicycles are a really great invention...I've seen them hauling refrigerators and immense loads over in China...amazing what a guy can do and the places he can go with a bike!:clapping:

Nice job. I have been toying with this idea as well to get way down the beach without so much effort. Those tires look like they will really do well in sand.

I need one of those Big Tired jobs for a couple of beaches in my area. One of them only has one public access. The rest is gated community.

Very nice, I could see a lot of uses for that. What's securing the fishing rod ? I see a sand scoop in its place.

I took a piece of old hose and cut it to fit around the bike frame and bolted some conduit holders to the frame. They are less than 2 bucks at lowes. Come in all sizes. I used a washer inside of PVC and used a stainless screw and a lock washer. I used light pvc for pole holders as my scoop and coil will fit in the buckets.

Nice bike enjoy!

Awesome job.......i'm in the process of creating some simple brackets so I can carry my scoop and detector on the smallest of my motorbikes.........so I can still get to the beach when my wife robs the car.

That Bike would be ideal for some of the beaches in my area. Those places where you can not gain access to the beach without having to walk miles from the very few public access areas. Beaches in South Carolina are all Public Beaches but those gated communities keep you off "their" beach unless you walk long distances.
